Plantagenet is a specialist nursery and a garden design and creation service. The common theme in our work is sustainability and the desire to work with nature and preserve the environment.

Created by David and Bella Gordon in the Loire Valley near Doué la Fontaine (49) in 1998, the business and our team have steadily grown, as has our range of plants and services.

We offer the following services throughout France:

Plant sales for retail customers

Information about our extensive range of perennials, grasses, bulbs and ferns is available online. You can use the wish list to choose your plants and then send us your list by email and we will reply with a quote and our current availability. For orders worth over 150€ we deliver free of charge all over France. Smaller orders can be collected from the nursery.

Visiting and buying at the nursery

Our Nursery and Gardens are open without appointment in April, May and October on Friday afternoons (1.30pm to 5.00pm) and Saturday mornings (9.00am to 12.30am). We hold an open weekend every year at the end of September and a 2 day end of season sale in mid-May.

If you would like to visit us at other times please make an appointment beforehand. 

Garden Design, Maintenance and Consulting

We've been designing gardens of varied sizes and in different regions of France for many years now.  Our design work is principally 'plant-orientated'.  If you think we can help you with a project, from a simple bed to designing a whole garden, please get in touch with us.  You can see some photos here.

We can also help you build and maintain your garden, using our staff if you are in our area or organizing teams of contractors local to you.
